How to use competitor keywords

Enter any domain to see the keywords it currently ranks for in Google, the position it holds, and which of its pages is ranking. Results are ordered by the provider’s estimated traffic, so the keywords earning the domain the most come first rather than whatever the API returned first.

The ranking URL column is the most useful part and the one most people skip. It tells you what kind of page wins for each keyword on that site, which is a far better guide to what you should build than the keyword list on its own.

Estimated traffic is exactly that: the provider derives it from click-through rate and search volume. It is not measured from anyone’s analytics and no tool can see another site’s real numbers.

Common questions

Can I enter a full URL?
Yes. A protocol, www and any path are stripped, so https://www.example.com/pricing is treated as example.com.
Is the estimated traffic real?
It is an estimate calculated by the provider from click-through rate and search volume. Treat it as a way of ranking keywords against each other, not as a measurement of visits.
Why does a domain show no keywords?
Either it does not rank in the top results for that country, or the provider has no ranking data for it. Very small or very new sites often return nothing.
How often does the ranking data update?
Positions come from the provider's ranking database, which refreshes over days rather than in real time. To see live positions for a single keyword, use the SERP checker.
