SERP Checker
Inspect the current Google results for a keyword and location.
How to read a SERP
This fetches the current Google results for your keyword in the location you choose, rather than reading a stored ranking database. The crawl time is shown with the results so you always know how fresh they are.
Position alone is not the whole picture. The blocks listed above the table (AI overviews, answer boxes, people also ask, image packs) sit between the organic results and push them down the page. A first place result on a page with a large AI overview above it gets fewer clicks than a first place result on a plain page.
Look at what kind of pages rank before deciding what to publish. If the first page is all product categories, a blog post is unlikely to break into it however well written it is.
Common questions
- Are these live Google results?
- Yes. Each check fetches the current results page. Repeat checks of the same keyword and location within a few hours reuse the last fetch, and the page says how old it is.
- Why do the results differ from what I see in Google?
- Google personalizes results by location, search history and device. This shows results for the location and device you selected, without any personal history attached.
- Can I check results for another country?
- Yes. Change the location, and the language options update to the ones that country actually has data for.
- How many results are shown?
- The first page, which is ten organic results. That is where nearly all clicks happen.
